Failure Analysis and Countermeasures of the WSP Control System in High-speed EMU
Abstract
At present, high-speed EMU still use adhesive braking as the main braking method. Inevitably, there is a risk of sliding during the braking process. As the EMU speed increases, the adhesion coefficient between wheel sets and rails decreases, and the probability of wheel slide increases. Based on the analysis of slide incident of high-speed EMU under extreme weather conditions. This paper studies the cooperation mechanism of the WSP between the electro-dynamic(ED) brake and the electro-pneumatic(EP) brake under the low-adhesion condition. The judgments of slide and the WSP logic. Proposes solution to avoid slide incidence under low adhesion in extreme weather conditions.
