Comparison Analysis of German and Chinese Code for Deformation Measure
Abstract
Deformation measurement plays an important role in the prevention of structural safety accidents. Every year, in order to make this process more convenient, lots of efforts have been made to develop new measurement technologies. However, deformation measurement is not just about the measurement technologies. The national code of practice for deformation measurement gives a standard protocol to accomplish deformation measurement properly according to certain measurement technology. DIN 18710:2010-09 is the German code of practice for engineering survey, which includes four parts. The fourth part (DIN 18710-4:2010-09) is the code for deformation measurement which is considered as an international level standard for deformation measurement. DIN 18710-4:2010-09 contains four chapters which are scope, normative references, terms and definitions and requirements. The forth chapter is divided into ten parts in the manner of life cycle of the project of deformation measurement. In China, JGJ 8-2016 is the latest code for deformation measurement of building and structure. All the deformation measurement works in China are conducted based on this code. Both these two codes are introduced in this paper. In the conclusion part, a brief comparison is given
