Strain Sensor Made by Thick-film Resistors on Substrates of Glass Ceramic
Abstract
Thick film resistors (TFRs) were screen printed and fired on fluorophlogopite glass ceramic (FGC) substrates with low elasticity modulus. The mechanical property of FGC and piezoresistivity of TFRs were studied. Test results show the sensor has favorable performance parameters including a sensitivity of 7.888, linearity of 0.716%, repeatability of 0.764% and hysteresis of 0.982% when its input is in the range from 0-3043μ. The strain sensors made with TFRs on FGC substrate is possible to be used in SHM of civil engineering.
