Train Bogie Damage Detection: Review and Prospect

Abstract


The bogie is an important unit for carrying vehicle body. Therefore, it is important to detect the damage and defects inside the bogie structure in time to ensure the safety of train operation. This paper gives a comprehensive overview of the basic methods and current situation of bogie damage detection. On the basis of summarizing the previous research, a new detection method for bogie damage defects is proposed to change the traditional passive detection method. The technology is easy in operation, rapid in detection, and meets the needs of monitoring the damage of the bogie in transit. Compared with traditional detection methods, this technology can detect micro internal damage in time and has good economic and social benefits.
