The Design Exploration of PHM System of Trailer in New-type EMU with Centralized Power

Abstract

This article analyzes the technical status and existing problems for Train Coach Running Detection System(TCDS）for 25G/T-type passenger trains in existing railway trunk lines and put forwards the concept that builds an on-board PHM system on trailer in EMUs with centralized power based on train-level Ethernet technology and vehicle-ground wireless transmission technology so as to realize the functions such as state-aware, state monitoring and data transmission for on-board key equipment; meanwhile, realize the interconnectivity of safety monitoring information between coaches and locomotives through fault and state classification diagnosis for sub-system components in locomotives and coaches; realize the state assessment, fault prediction and health management of train’s components in a triune manner as “running train – operator - manufacturer†through two-way wireless information transmission with ground PHM system.
