A Smoothing Method for High-speed Railway Measured Rail Profile Data
Abstract
The local distortion points of measured rail profiles have a great influence on the calculation results of wheel/rail contact parameters. To solve this problem, firstly, the measured rail profile is aligned with standard rail profile. Secondly, the normal distance between measured rail profile and standard rail profile was obtained and processed by using FFT, iFFT and boundary extension method. Finally, the smoothed normal distance was added to the standard rail profile to obtain the smoothed profile data. It is verified that the processed rail profile data is more conducive to wheel and rail contact parameters by comparing wheel/rail contact position, rolling radius difference (RRD) and equivalent conicity, before and after rail profile processing.
