Several Methods for Detecting the Number and the Interval of Defective Rolling Elements in Wheelset Bearing of High-speed Train

Abstract


Two methods are proposed to detect the number and interval information of defective rolling elements in wheelset bearing of high-speed train. In the first method, the amplitudes of the fundamental train frequency and its harmonics are extracted from the envelope spectrum, then the normalized errors between the amplitudes and their theoretical values are calculated. Finally, the coordinate corresponding to the minimum error is the fault information. In the second method, an atom is constructed to execute a convolution with the squared envelope of the collected vibration signal; then the information is extracted from the inner product curves. Experiment verifies the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
