Abstract

Due to the high efficiency, small size, light weight, reliable operation and low noise, permanent magnet motors have attracted extensive attention and application of rail vehicles. However, due to the inherent characteristics of the permanent magnet materials, the permanent magnet motor has a risk of loss of magnetism. In this paper, the risk factors that may cause the loss of magnetism of permanent magnet motor are analyzed from the aspects of high temperature, external magnetic field, oxidative corrosion, vibration and shock. Combined with the characteristics of permanent magnet motor application in rail vehicles, a safety strategy to avoid the risk of loss of magnetism is proposed. It lays a foundation for the research of anti-magnetism prevention in different stages of design, manufacturing, operation and maintenance of permanent magnet motor.
