Numerical Modeling of High-Speed Interaction Processes between Fluoropolymer Projectiles and Light Alloy-Based Targets

Abstract


The paper presents a method for calculating the kinematic characteristics penetration of PTFE projectile into the aluminum target considering the chemical reaction between PTFE and aluminum. Accounting of kinematic characteristics was conducted by the method of large particles. Accounting of the chemical reaction was carried out by the method of Counterflow Diffusion Flame. The results of the calculations are given. Qualitative and quantitative agreement results of the calculation fit with the experimental data.
