

Application of the Modified Transient Plane Source Technique in Testing the Thermal Conductivity of Concrete
Abstract
In a continuously improving and fast pace environment such as the concrete industry, there is always a need for reliable, rapid testing technique to ensure the uninterrupted working process. C-Therm Technologies offers such a solution with respect to measuring thermal properties of concrete materials. The C-Therm TCi System allows determining accurate values for thermal conductivity, thermal effusivity of concrete without sample preparation or its destruction. This technique has clear advantages over other existing techniques, one of which is the capability to test concrete products in situ. The laboratory testing was done for two concrete samples and the results were verified with literature which showed the validity of the experimental data.
