Numerical Simulation of Wind-Induced Noise Using Wind Turbulence Information
Abstract
In this study, wind-induced noise is simulated as time-histories of fluctuating sound pressure by Auto-Regressive (AR) model. The coefficient matrices associated with the model are determined according to the prescribed spectral density of sound pressure in the frequency domain. In order to verify the validity as well as reliability of the approach, various checks on the simulated results have been carried out. The results show that wind-induced sound can be simulated well by the AR model with low order and small sampling time step. The AR method is thus potential for timedomain solutions of noise mitigation in wind environmental problems
