Abstract

This project is especially carried out for “Dyeing Millsâ€. Dyeing mills are important part of Gujarat’s textile industry and in particular Surat. The major problem faced by these industries structure, is degradation of concrete at a pretty early age. Average life expectancy of structure is only around 15-20 years which is very less compared to other structures. To control the permeability and porosity of concrete a mix design of M30 (according to IS 10262:2009) was made. Cement was replaced by flyash, metakaolin and silica fume to make for different blended concrete and corrosion resistance, strength characteristic and durability was found.
