Structural Health Monitoring of Aluminum Alloy Carbody of High-speed EMU



This paper reveals that the real-time online structural health monitoring technology is effective to ensure the safe operation of high-speed EMUs given the structural features, service conditions and loading scenarios of aluminum alloy carbody. On this basis, this paper describes the state-of-the-art technology of active damage monitoring on the aluminum alloy carbody of high-speed EMUs, showing the current research achievements of CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd. in applying SMART layer technology to carbody structural health monitoring, and prospecting the development goals of applying structural health monitoring technology on high-speed EMUs.
