

Restudy on the Adaptive Mesh Technique for Seepage Problems
Abstract
The adaptive mesh technique to steady seepage with a free surface has been restudied using Trefftz finite element method (FEM). This approach reduces the effects of mesh distortion on the results based on the conventional FEM. Numerical example has shown that Trefftz FEM may guarantee the rapid convergence during successive modifications of the initial mesh configuration
