Mesoscopic Constitutive Modeling of Corroded Concrete Based on CT

H.K. LIU, J. LI

Abstract

The constitutive modeling of corroded concrete is difficult due to the nonuniform corrosion over the section of specimen. In the present paper, the behaviors of (uniformly and nonuniformly) corroded concrete are simulated with the help of the CT. Firstly the mesoscopic constitutive law of corroded zones is modified according to the Fick’s Second Law. Then, the strength reduction ratio of mortar and Interfacial Transition Zone (ITZ) are identified by comparing the experiment results with the simulation results. Finally, the constitutive law of uniformly corroded concrete is simulated with the corrosion homogenization approach.
