Composite Propellant Dewetting Simulation based on CZM Model and Contact Angle Measurements
Abstract
The composite propellant is the high filled particulate elastomeric matrix composite. Debonding of particle/matrix interfaces can significantly affect its macroscopic mechanics behavior. How to model the propellant material and describe damage processes has been a long standing quest. This paper provides an effective method to link the macro-scale to the meso-scale through combining contact angle measurement experiments and multiscale finite element simulation based on cohesive model, the effect of microstructural damage on the macroscopic constitutive response of propellant is shown.
