SHPB Experiment and Numerical Simulation of Concrete under Room Temperature and High Temperature
Abstract
Concrete was a typical strain-rate sensitivity material. In this paper, the concrete specimen was tested in the Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) experiment system under room temperature. Besides, with the microwave heating technique, the concrete specimens were also tested under high temperature. The stress-strain curves, got from numerical simulation in LS-DANY with the specific H-J-C constitutive model, were compared with the stress-strain curves from experiment. The results showed that the specific H-J-C constitutive could simulate the dynamic characteristics of concrete under both room temperature and high temperature.
