Preparation and Application of Antibacterial Coatings Based Nanometer TiO2
Abstract
Objective In this paper, the dispersion of nano-TiO2 was studied and the chitosan was added to increase the sterilization rate, and then the antibacterial coating with excellent performance was obtained and applied to the research of antibacterial paper packaging. Methods In the dispersive experiments about nano-TiO2, we used the method of orthogonal test to measure the centrifuge stability of Nano-TiO2. Meanwhile, the optimum dispersion process was determined by measuring the particle size and Zeta potential. Finally, we added the chitosan , Pigments, adhesives and additives to the TiO2 dispersion to prepare antimicrobial coatings. Result In the dispersibility experiment, we found that the highest of centrifuge stability is 65.4%, and the smallest particle size is 180dnm, the maximum potential is 46.5mv when the content of ethanol is 10%, the ratio of SHMP to PEG1000 is 1: 2 and the total amount of dispersant is 1.5% (relative to the nano-TiO2) and ultrasound time is 15min, PH of the solution is 10. So it is the best dispersion process. Finally, we added the chitosan, pigments, adhesives and additives to prepare the best antibacterial coating under the best dispersion process.
