Numerical Simulation Study on the Refrigeration Effect of Air Conditioning in a 155MM Gun

Abstract


Refers to the operators' safety and comfort in the gun turrets under high temperature environment, it is needed to be equipped with air conditioning to cooling the temperature in the gun turret. In order to study refrigeration effect of air conditioning for the different initial ambient temperature, combined with heat transfer and fluid mechanics theory, the CFD simulation of the refrigeration process was conducted, the temperature change law of time and space was obtained. The results show that, under the effect of air conditioning refrigeration, the turret temperature decreases over time, as the external environment for 60℃, after 1.69 hours, the turret temperature can drop to 30℃. The results of the study can provide reference for the selection of air conditioning in the gun turret and is meaningful for operating personnel safety during the launch.
