GUN BARREL VIBRATION AND EFFECT ON ACCURACY
Abstract
In modern warfare, targets must be engaged quickly with a minimum expenditure of ammunition and barrel wear. In many cases, the barrel is in a state of vibration. It may not be pointed at the target when the projectile emerges. The projectile is released obliquely to the muzzle flow and is unstable. We analyze the vibration and calculate its effect on the trajectory.
