Abstract


Two kinds of new effective burning-rate inhibitors, the energetic inhibitors and chemical-modified quaternary ammonium salt, for AP/Al/HTPB composite solid propellant have been developed. There are energetic groups and inhibitor groups in the molecules of the energetic inhibitors. The burning rates of the propellant with only 0.5 percent of the chemical-modified quaternary ammonium salt can be decreased remarkably. Meanwhile, the alkalescence of the quaternary ammonium salts was chemically modified to meet the requirement of compatibility in the propellant. These two kinds of inhibitors can not only decrease the burning rates but also restrain from explosion heat loss of the propellant effectively.
