Numerical Virtual Flight Technology and Its Application in the Stage Separation Simulation

Abstract

A novel framework of Numerical virtual flight (NVF) is proposed in this paper to fully couple the closed-loop controlled 6DOF flight simulation with unsteady numerical simulation of flow field. The NVF system is built based on the collaborative simulation of commercial software ANSYS Fluent and Simulink, and applied to simulate the controlled stage separation process of a two-stage rocket.
