Research Development of Energy-absorption Structure for Railway Vehicles
Abstract
Energy-absorption structure is the core component of railway vehicle crashworthiness. To provide a reference for the design of energy-absorbing structures, not only does this paper present the typical energy-absorbing structures including thin-walled, honeycomb and cutting structure, but it also discusses the influence of material properties, deformation modes and strain rate sensitivity on the collision characteristics of energy-absorbing structures. Further, the design patterns of energy-absorption structures for railway vehicles is summarized, and by using collision safety indicators, the design concepts of the bearing energy-absorption structures and special energy-absorption structures for railway vehicles are analyzed. The transient impact force acquisition system of the dynamic impact test on energy-absorption structure is introduced, and the comparative analysis is made between block type force panel wall and composite force panel wall. Finally, the main research direction of the railway vehicle energy-absorption structure is analyzed and predicted. Keywords: Railway Vehicle, Energy-absorption Structure, Dynamic Impact Test.
