Safety Assessment of Pressure Vessels with Surface Crack which Based on Product of the Defect Safe Attenuation Path and the Velocity

In this paper, aimed for the safety assessment of the pressure vessels with the surface crack, based on the simulation of the safety attenuation path for the surface crack, a method of description according to the PPV (product of the defect safety attenuation path and the velocity) is obtained. Using the dynamic relationship between the attenuation process of the evaluation point on the safe attenuation path and its failure rate, the dynamic safety margin of the defect can be accurately and quantitatively characterized.
