Analysis of the Effect on the Shock Initiation Performance for Booster Charge Structures Parameters

Abstract


The booster charge structure has direct influence on the detonation wave propagation, the flayer and shock initiation performance. In order to analyze the influence of the booster charge structure on the performance parameters of the flayer, a numerical calculation scheme was designed based on the orthogonal test principle in view of the three structural parameters, such as the wall thickness of the flying plat, the diameter of the charge and the height of the flyer. The finite difference program Autodyn-3D was used to establish the corresponding numerical simulation model, and the main structural parameters affecting the flyer velocity, momentum, kinetic energy parameters were obtained by the statistical analysis of the numerical simulation results. The analyses and results are significant to provide theoretical basis for the design of this kind of booster charge.
