Research on Influence Regular of Bore Structure Diversification on Band Engraving Resistance
Abstract
Coupling simulated of classical interior ballistic equations and band's engraving process. A coupled constitutive model considered plasticity and ductile damage effect and based on continuum damage mechanics was introduced to simulate the band's engraving process. The Johnson-Cook hardening model and fracture strain model were used, and the model considered large deformation, high strain-rate, thermal softening and damage evolution, the explicit dynamics algorithm was adopted to simulate the difference of band's engraving processes based on different bore structures. The influence of band's stress state was analyzed based on different bore structures, and the influence regular of band's engraving process dealing with the major structure parameter was pointed out. The results can be further used for integrated analysis and design of guns, ammunitions and propellants for advanced artillery weapon systems.
