This paper presents a MEMS-based solution, called Morphopipe, for 3D curvature monitoring of flexible risers. This is a new advance for the monitoring of such structures, in particular because the sensors are fully embedded. The article proposes a complete description of the system: context, technology, architecture, algorithm and experimentations.
